Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Movie Archive Hub uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It describes what cookies are, the types we use, why we use them, and how you can control them.

Effective Date: 12 September 2026

This policy applies to all visitors to moviearchivehub.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. By continuing to browse our site, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to the site owners.

Persistent cookies
Remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
Session cookies
Are deleted when you close your browser.

We use cookies to enhance your browsing experience, understand how our site is used, and improve our content and services. The cookies we use fall into several categories, each serving a distinct purpose.

  • Essential cookies are necessary for the website to function properly.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand visitor behaviour and improve our content.
  • Preference cookies remember your choices, such as language or region.
  • Marketing cookies may be used to deliver relevant advertisements, though we currently do not use them.

Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function. They enable core features such as page navigation and access to secure areas. Without these cookies, the site cannot operate properly.

Example: a cookie that remembers your cookie consent choice. These cookies do not collect personal information for marketing purposes.

Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our site by collecting information anonymously. This data allows us to improve content and user experience.

We may use a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not track individual users. Data collected may include pages visited, time on site, and referring URLs.

Preference Cookies

Preference cookies enable the website to remember choices you make, such as your preferred language or region. These cookies enhance your experience by personalising content.

Example: remembering that you are a New Zealand visitor and showing NZ-specific content. These cookies are not essential but improve usability.

The following table lists the cookies that may be set on your device when you visit Movie Archive Hub. This list is subject to change as we update our site and services. Cookie names are indicative and may vary based on the tools we use. Durations are approximate and may be updated.

Some cookies may be set by third-party services that we use, such as analytics providers or embedded media. These third parties may collect information about your browsing activity across different websites.

  • We currently use a privacy-focused analytics service that does not track users across sites.
  • Embedded content, such as video trailers, may set cookies from the provider's domain.
  • We do not control the cookies set by third parties; please refer to their respective privacy policies.

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, and you can set preferences for individual websites.

  1. Open your browser's settings or preferences menu.
  2. Locate the privacy or security section.
  3. Find the cookie settings, often labelled "Cookies and site data" or similar.
  4. Choose to block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or delete existing cookies.
  5. Set exceptions for individual websites if you wish to allow cookies from Movie Archive Hub.

Instructions vary by browser; refer to your browser's help section for details. Blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of this website.

Opt-Out Tools

Some third-party services offer opt-out mechanisms. You can also use browser extensions or privacy tools to manage cookies. For analytics cookies, you may be able to opt out via the provider's website. We do not currently use advertising cookies, so no ad opt-out is necessary.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The latest version will always be available on this page, and we will indicate the effective date at the top.

Significant changes may be announced via a notice on our website. Your continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
